My pricing is grounded in abolitionist, anti-capitalist, and mutual-aid values while also honoring the sustainability of my labor. I believe end-of-life care should be accessible, non-exploitative, and rooted in collective care rather than profit or coercion. I offer all services at a single hourly rate, with flexible options for sliding scale.

Standard Hourly Rate: $60/hour

This rate reflects the emotional, relational, and time-intensive nature of death work while supporting my ability to continue offering this care.

This hourly rate applies to all services, including but not limited to:

  • Emotional and spiritual support

  • Education about the dying process

  • Advance care and legacy planning

  • Support for caregivers and families

  • Bedside presence and vigil support

  • Grief and after-death support

Virtual and in-person support are offered when available.

Sliding Scale & Mutual Aid

I recognize that access to care is shaped by systemic inequality rooted in capitalism, racism, sexism, homophobia, and other oppressive systems. Everyone deserves access to end-of-life care, and this care should not be limited or restricted due to financial restraints. To ensure that all of those interested in death doula services can access them, sliding-scale rates are available.

$30–$120 per hour, based on your financial access.

Clients who are able to pay at the higher end of the scale help provide care for those with fewer resources. This is a model rooted in mutual aid and community care.

These examples are offered as guidance only, not rules, to support thoughtful, shame-free decision-making:

  • $120/hour (Solidarity Rate) may be accessible if you have reliable income, savings, discretionary spending, or generational/structural financial advantage. Paying at this rate helps make sliding-scale care possible for others.

  • $60/hour (Standard Rate) may be appropriate if you can meet your basic needs, have some financial flexibility, and are not experiencing acute financial strain.

  • $30–$55/hour (Reduced Rate) may be appropriate if you are living paycheck to paycheck, managing debt, supporting dependents, navigating disability or chronic illness, experiencing housing insecurity, or facing other financial barriers under capitalism.

Choosing a lower rate is not taking something away from others. Choosing a higher rate is an act of solidarity, not obligation.

No proof of income is required. I trust people to choose a rate that is honest and sustainable for them.

Minimums & Availability

  • Sessions are typically booked in 1–2 hour increments

  • Overnight or extended vigil support may require a minimum number of hours

  • On-call availability during active dying can be discussed as needed

I do not bill insurance and do not participate in systems that pathologize grief or dying.

I am not a medical provider, hospice worker, or legal professional, and I do not provide medical or legal advice. My role is relational, educational, and supportive.

Compensated doula services end at the time of death. Supportive care for loved ones may continue in various non-body-care capacities.
